On September 30, 2011, Vishay Intertechnology announced its acquisition of the resistor businesses of the Huntington Electric Companies, comprised of Huntington, Milwaukee, Central, and Mills Resistors. Vishay Intertechnology, based in Malvern, Pennsylvania, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of discrete semiconductors and passive components.
Central Resistor Corporation was organized
in 1958 to manufacture
precision metal film resistors. Our
early commitment to provide accurate, rugged,
high quality resistors from design through production
continues today.
Manufacturing
of axial
wirewound resistors was
introduced in 1968, with the same attention to
detail and quality as our metal film products.

world class manufacturing facility in Addison,
Illinois is
centrally located to provide quick response and
